Dž. Roulinga "Nejaušā vakance"/ J.K. Rowling "The Casual Vacancy"

I have dual feelings about this book - I would not call it great, it is simply a quite good literature, though to my mind maybe Mrs. Rowling should stick to the writing about wizards and little boys with magic powers. As I think part of the success of this book could be attributed to her previous Harry Potter books. I am still striving to get to the end of this huge novel but to be honest it is hard, as it gets a bit boring sometimes...but as I always try to finish the book, I will do as well with this one...though there are still 215 pages left.

Teikšu atklāti, ar šo grāmatu man neiet viegli, varbūt tādēļ, ka lasu to angļu valodā, lai gan parasti man tas problēmas nesagādā. Ja to nebūtu uzrakstījusi tik slavena autore, tad domāju tās pieprasījums būtu daudz mazāks.

/Also Mrs. Rowling are quoting Umbrella, a song by J-Z & Rihanna, several times, probably she likes it very much:)

Uh huh uh huh, Rihanna...
Good girl gone bad -
Take three -
Action.
No clouds in my storms...
Let it rain, I hydroplane into fame
Comin' down with the Dow Jones...

Krystal had never understood the words.

It was so good to be held. If only relationships could be distilled into simple, wordless gestures of comfort. Why had humans ever learned to talk?
